Grade 7s learned about Jasper Johns work on the last project of the year. Each student made one stencil with one number (Included one Pi number) and then they exchanged them to create their very own piece of art.

4th graders made this outstanding carp. inspired by Japanese art and also the ones that appear in the art of tattoo. Everybody, children, teachers, viewers even myself... were really surprised with the final result, watercolour pencils are quite fun.
Our grades 5 took the colour wheel a little bit further. We first made a very complete colour wheel working sheet, with new vocabulary, new terms, etc.... After day one, each student came up with one animal that they could turn somehow into a colour wheel animal. So here's some of them!
Grades 3 recently used watercolour pencils for the very first time. I personally love watercolour pencils you can create great things that if you try with paint might be a bit more difficult / messy. Space rockets never fail it's a subject that everyone loves, do you?
Great Hokusai. It was a beautiful project where we have learnt about the artist himself, new techniques, new vocabulary, Japan, etc... Children were amazed of how amazing their own work looked like.
